At a presentation on Kaizen quality improvements, the presenter told a story he heard from an early developer of Kaizen from Japan. This man had come to lecture at various plants of an American manufacture. While traveling from plant to plant the two men discovered both were pilots, the American in Vietnam and the visitor in WW2. He flew the Zero and his squadron shot down an American fighter plane. After several days of urging, the squadron commander got a bus and took the squadron to the crash site to see the American plane. On arrival all of the Japanese plots became very dejected. They saw that the American pilot seat was made of armored steel and not bamboo like the Zero. They immediately realized that the Americans gave up a little cost and performance because they valued their pilots.
We believe most organizations value their employees and customers and will spend a little for an AED and CPR training.
The AEDs we have places save a life every week!
